First Editions, First Printings with ads dated June 1857 in the back of Volume 2. A wonderful two volume set that is complete with some repair to the spines. Both books are bound in the ORIGINAL publisher's purple brown cloth with light wear to the edges. The pages are clean in both books, with NO writing, marks or bookplates in the books. A lovely copy housed in a custom clamshell slipcase for preservation.

'The Professor' was Charlotte Brontë's first novel, written before 'Jane Eyre' and published posthumously in 1857. It tells the story of a young Englishman who takes up a position at a boys’ school in Brussels.
