First Edition. Contemporary 3/4 black leather, pebbled cloth over boards, gilt lettering at spine, raised spine bands. Collection of three original Danish first printings of perhaps Ibsen's most important dramatic works all bound in one volume. Including: Gengangere, Et Familjedrama I Tre Akter (Ghosts), published by Gyldendalske Boghandels Forlag in 1881 and En Folkefiende, Skuespil I Fem Akter (An Enemy of the People) published by same publsher in 1882. A Doll's House is still considered to be revolutionary in its realism and challenge to contemporary audiences about women's roles in European society. Very Good volume, front spine edge with leather cracked but with interior hinge firmly bound, nicks and rubbing to spine ends and corners, textually Very Good.
