First edition stated, first issue with "seep" for "sleep" on pp. 209. Hardcover, bound in green cloth with blue mask on the front panel, wrapped in the green and black variant dust jacket, retaining price of $2.00. The cover mottled and spine darkened; prior owner inscription on the fly leaf; owner name on the pastedown. The jacket faded and rubbed with small creases, chips and tears, old tape repairs on the verso.

The Thin Man is a detective novel by Dashiell Hammett, originally published in the December 1933 issue of Redbook. It is the last novel Hammett completed and features the characters Nick and Nora Charles, who would later become widely recognized through the series of films made from the book.
