Stuart Little by E. B. White. Published by Harper & Brothers in 1945. A First Edition. (This is written on the copyright page together with the letters "10-5" and "I-U".) Size: 8 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. Page number: 131. Buff coloured boards with green and white lettering. The dust jacket shows Stuart Little paddling a canoe. Condition of book: Near Fine. The boards are clean and show almost no wear. The pages are clean, only very occasionally thumbed, otherwise unmarked. Condition of Jacket: Very Good: There is loss particularly at the top edge, a little to the base of the spine. A small piece is missing from the spine. The whole is slightly tanned, this being particularly noticeable on the spine. It is otherwise unmarked.

Stuart Little is a children's novel written by E.B. White, first published in 1945 by Harper & Brothers. The story follows a small, anthropomorphic mouse born to a human family, and chronicles his adventures in New York City. The character of Stuart Little was based on a dream White had. The novel's realistic New York City setting and anthropomorphized characters make it a distinctive example of American children's literature. Garth Williams provided the book's original illustrations, which contributed to its charm and success.
