Very Good+, lightly rubbed along edges, subtle lean; lacking dust jacket, clad in facsimile. Signed by the author on the illustrated front free endpaper, neatly inscribed, "This is the first book I ever autographed - by request - but I hope at least it's legible [signed] Phoebe Atwood Taylor." Apparently this copy is the very first book of her own the Boston author ever signed. A unique copy of her first novel, a comic mystery which debuted Asey Mayo.
