First edition stated, with numberline beginning with 2. (Random House's convention at the time was to indicate first printings with the statement "First Edition," with numberline beginning with 2, which is how this copy reads. Second printings would drop the First Edition statement.) Ex-library with a single library stamp on the title page. There are two stickers and residue of another on one rear end paper. DJ is unclipped and presumably has been protected by mylar for its entire life, as it is conditioned as very good. Book has bumping and edgewear to bottom of boards. Binding remains tight with a mild skew. There is a small water stain affecting the first 11 leaves. Final 27 leaves show evidence of moisture (no stains, just mild warping affecting lower outside corner). A flawed copy but deeply discounted.
