A large and impressive map of Spain and Portugal, a portion of the north African Barbary coastline, and the Baleric Islands.The map is complemented by an attractive and ornate title cartouche in the lower right corner. Easch separate Spanish region is coloured in outline. John Senex was a noted publisher, engraver and seller of maps, atlases and globes during the first half of the eighteenth century. He became the geographer to Queen Anne, and was duly elected to the Royal Society in 1728. This map was published in his 'A New General Atlas...'.
