A late eighteenth century map of southern Brazi, from Porto Seguro in the north, south to the area around Buenos Aires. Physical features are shown, rivers and coastal towns and villages are named where known. In 1773 Bonne succeeded Jacques Nicolas Bellin as Royal Cartographer to France in the office of the Hydrographer at the Depôt de la Marine and as such, compiled some of the most detailed and accurate maps of the period.
