John Cary was a prolific English map seller and engraver with premises in The Strand in London. He also made globes and scientific instruments. This is his grand map of an enormous land that covered China and a swathe of Central Asia and Tibet. From the shores of the Caspian Sea eastwards to the Sea of Japan. The map details the very latest information and discoveries. Published in Cary's 'New Universal Atlas'.
