View of the magnificent entrance to the Mosque of the Sultan Hassan, Cairo. This structure was designed as a madrasa dedicated to the four law schools of Sunnite Islam and also a congregational mosque for the Friday sermon. This ambitious project almost bankrupted the Sultan Hassan and was never completed.
