John Cary was a prolific and highly regarded English cartographer, publisher and globe maker, most active in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. He was best known for his very accurate and finely detailed English county atlases. This fine map of Huntingdonshire is from his popular 'New English Atlas'.
