Map of the land around Salzburg in western Austria. Matthaus Quad was a German cartographer based in Cologne which, at the time, was the centre for German cartography. This map is from his Fascilus Geographicus. It was printed by Johannes Bussemacher. Size: 265 x 180 mm Very good condition. Copper engraving. Uncoloured. Good margins. Some place-names, rivers and forests are highlighted in brown and green.
