John Cary was a prolific English map seller and engraver, with premises in The Strand in London. He also made globes and scientific instruments. This is his lovely map of an area that stretches from the Caucasus southwards to Egypt. The map details the very latest information and discoveries of the period. Published in Cary's 'New Universal Atlas'. Size: 535 x 630 mm. Fair condition. Some discolouration along the centrefold, and there is an old repair to a centrefold split. Repair to left margin.
