A fine 'birds-eye' plan of the North Holland city of Enkhuizen, in West-Frisia. When this lovely copperplate was first engraved, Enkhuizen was at its peak, being one of The Netherland's top ports for overseas trading via the Dutch V.O.C. in the East Indies. Over time, Enkhuizen lost its prominence to Amsterdam. Copperplate engraving. Good condition, discolouration to central fold.
