A beautiful little map of Turkey from Porcacchi's famous atlas, also showing Crete and many of the Aegean Islands. Atlases of islands were very popular at the time. The map occupies the centre of a larger page ( 19 x 29.5cm) with text in Italian above and below. Copper engraving. Later colour. Very good condition, water stain on upper margin, not affecting map. Size: 170 x 130 mm. (6½ x 5 inches).
