This map, engraved by John Ellis, is very similar in design and execution to those by Thomas Kitchin, issued in his 'England Illustrated' in 1764. From Ellis' English Atlas; printed for Sayer and Carrington Bowles. This map features a small but pleasing title cartouche. An attractive and detailed map of this county. Size: 280 x 220 mm. Copperplate engraving with hand colour. Map has been cleaned, and is slightly toned but otherwise in good condition.
