A wonderful 'bird's - eye' plan of the eastern Dutch city of Nijmegen, near to the German border. The city sits beside the River Waal, and lays claim to be the oldest city in The Netherlands, approximately two thousand years old. It is seen with its strong seventeenth centurycity wall and fortifications, together with a panoramic view of the city. Within the view, you may see the thirteenth century St. Stevenskirk, and the Imperial castle (now in ruins).
Copperplate engraving.
Good condition, some discolouration to the central fold.
