In the mid-eighteenth century, French mapmaking was at its peak. Brion de la Tour was one of its most prolific cartographers. This beautiful decorated little map, elegantly surrounded by an ornate engraved uncoloured frame, is a fine example of the period. Atlas General, Civil et Ecclesiastique. Copper engraving.
