Bowen was engraver to George II and Louis XV of France. The map is in two parts - the upper one shows the western coast of North Africa, the lower shows the eastern part. Each has its own decorated cartouche. The different countries are clearly delineated and described. Size: 43 x 35 cm. (17 x 14 inches) Copperplate engraving, with later hand colour. Fine condition, good margins.
