Inscribed by Banksy aside from the edition of 5, signed, dated and dedicated lower right "2005 For Simon x Banksy", together with a certificate of authenticity from Pest Control. The recipient, Simon Durban, was an accountant for Banksy and a director for Pictures on Walls, Lazinc, Pest Control, Paranoid Pictures, and Gross Domestic Product, all companies associated with Banksy. Kate Moss is a nod to Andy Warhol's iconic Marilyn Monroe suite. Banksy creates a work of art with a grey-scale portrait of Moss, Monroe's hair superimposed on it, and bright colours added. Time placed Kate Moss on their list of the world's 100 most influential people in 2007, and she has graced over 300 magazine covers, making her one of the more recognizable faces of her era. She was involved in the fashion world for 25 years, and her image was familiar worldwide, in much the same way that Monroe's was. Screenprint on canvas. Image size: 52.8 x 52.8 cm.
