Delisle was an important French cartographer of the early 18th century. He held the position of First Royal Geographer to the King. This extremely detailed map of this part of Eastern Europe. The borders of the countries are shown in colour. Austria in the west to Moldova in the east and Bosnia in the south to the frontiers of Poland in the north. The river Danube is shown stretching across from Austria in the north west to Bulgaria in the south east. Published in the 'Atlas de Geographie'.
