One of twelve prints by twelve artists from the For Meyer Schapiro portfolio published on the occasion of Schapiro's seventieth birthday. The print is a collage of Warhol's iconic Brillo Boxes, Soup Can, Cow and Flower images.
Meyer Schapiro was an art historian, critic and teacher at Columbia University. He delivered many lectures that were attended regularly by many of the well-known modern artists of the time and was a close friend and adviser to many artists, such as Willem de Kooning and Robert Motherwell, who benefited from Schapiro's vast knowledge of art history and theories on aesthetics and perspective.
