Handsome map of the northern Balkan states, from the Danube to the Croatian coast. Vignette portrait of 'Rudolphus IId' at top right. Title at at top centre. Matthaus Quad was a German cartographer based in Cologne, which, at the time was the centre for German cartography. This map is from his Fascilus Geographicus. It was printed by Johannes Bussemacher. Size: 265 x 180 mm. Very good condition. Good margins. Coastline, rivers and a few place-names outlined in brown. Some showthrough of text from rear.
