One of 14 artist's proofs aside from the edition of 50, signed in pencil lower right by Rego, marked A/P lower left, printers blindstamp lower right. This is one of 31 prints from Rego's The Nursery Rhymes series. The image was also reproduced in the book Nursery Rhymes by Paula Rego, published by the Folio Society and Thames & Hudson in 1994. Hodes was a student of Rego at the Slade School of Fine Art, London, during the eighties. Etching and aquatint with hand colouring by Charlotte Hodes on Velin Arches wove paper. Image size: 32.2 x 21.9 cm. Sheet size: 52 x 38 cm. Framed size: 59.5 x 45.5 cm. Excellent condition. Presented in a dark brown stained wooden frame with conservation acrylic glazing.
