A beautifully engraved map of Germany and almost all of Central and Northern Europe. Attractive cartouche in the lower left-hand corner. Rizzi-Zannoni was a geographer and astronomer, who became the Chief hydrographer to the important Dépôt des Cartes et plans de la Marine. He worked closely on Lattré's 'Atlas Moderne', together with Bonne and Janvier. Sheet size: 375 x 505 mm Plate size: 315 x 455 mm Copper engraving with hand colour. Repair to lower central fold, otherwise in good condition.
