A fine view of the bay and St. Aubins Fort which lies just outside the harbour. Built upon a rocky islet, it features a tower keep which is surrounded by granite walls and ramparts. One of a series of 26 views published in 1847 to commemorate Queen Victoria's visit to Jersey, lithographed by Day & Son, lithographers to the Queen. Tinted lithograph hand-coloured. Good condition. Tear 9cm long from lower margin, 3 cm into image. Repair to verso. Size: 47.2 x 64.1 cm.
