A wonderfully decorative and aesthetically pleasing county map of Surrey by Thomas Moule, from 'Barclay's Complete and Universal Dictionary', a most popular atlas published between 1840-1852. The map is complemented with 2 delightful vignettes, of Dulwich College and Richmond Bridge. The map has a wealth of detail; including railways, post roads, parks, physical features and numerous villages and towns. Size: 210 x 265 mm. Copperplate engraving with hand colour. Map has been cleaned, right margin with minute loss, small close nicks to margins, otherwise in good condition.
