John Cary was an important and prolific London map seller, engraver, globe and scientific instrument maker. This example is his excellent map of the land area between France and the western banks of the River Rhine. Modern day Belgium is featured, as is northern Luxenbourg. This attractive map shows all the latest discoveries and information. Published in 'Cary's New Universal Atlas'. Size: 535 x 630 mm. Good condition. Slight offsetting, and small split to lower centrefold.
