An attractive and detailed map of this county, engraved by John Ellis, similar in design and execution to those by Thomas Kitchin, issued in his 'England Illustrated' in 1764. From Ellis' English Atlas; printed for Sayer and Carrington Bowles. This map features a small but pleasing title cartouche. Size: 280 x 220 mm. Copperplate engraving. Map has been cleaned, and is slightly toned but otherwise in good condition.
