John Cary was a prolific English map seller and engraver, with premises in The Strand in London. He also made globes and scientific instruments. This is his impressive map of Upper and Lower Egypt. An accurate inset of the Nile Delta is thoughtfully provided, detailing the very latest information and discoveries. The mighty river Nile is prominent. Published in Cary's 'New Universal Atlas'.
