Chart of the coast of eastern Canada. Compass point at sea, rhumb lines, depths soundings. The map does not show the St Lawrence River, but shows a non existent water route from the Gulf of St Lawrence to Hudson Bay. Title cartouche at top right, title flanked by armed natives. From John Seller's English Pilot, the fourth book, published by Mount and Page. Copper engraving. Uncoloured. Some wormholes and closed tears have been expertly repaired, otherwise in very good condition. Size: 55 x 43 cm.
