Original artwork for the etching that appeared in Monks 'London Calendar' 1982. Signed by the artist. Born in Cambridgeshire, he acquired his early knowledge and skill as an engraver of banknotes. This skill and attention to detail has marked him as one of the finest intaglio artists of this century. He was a prolific producer of fine prints after paintings by 18th and 19th century masters in a variety of genres including portraiture, sporting - including golf, botanicals and landscapes.
