In the year 1675 the Dutch painter and traveller Cornelis le Bruyn (1652-1727) set out from Livorno on a journey through the Levant, publishing an account on his return. This magnificent engraving showing a prospect view of Jerusalem is from this account of his journey. Copper engraving. Uncoloured. Good condition. Re-margined to left and right.
