Splendid map of the Artois region of north eastern France, from Calais to Cambrai. Magnificent strapwork title cartouche at upper right, scale with strapwork decorations at lower left. The dedicatory cartouche at left, identifies this plate as van den Broecke 74. Published in the famous Theatrum Orbis Terrarum by the master Flemish cartographer Abraham Ortelius. Copper engraving. Later colour. Fine condition, good margins. Size: 48 x 36.5 cm.
