A beautifully engraved, elegant map of Buckinghamshire by the brothers Christopher and James Greenwood. Each corner of the map is filled with an exquisite feature. The map scale of 1 inch representing 3 miles allows for tremendous detail, including churches, castles, railways, heaths, turnpike roads, woods and rivers. A delightful vignette of Stowe House adornes the lower left corner. There is also an explanation table, compass rose and a numbered reference table to the various county "Hundreds". This wonderful map was published in the "Atlas of The Counties of England".
