A practical and detailed, large scale map of Switzerland that provides a wealth of information and interest. There is an inset table of "Comparitave Heights of the Mountains and Passes, Towns &c". The firm was appointed engravers to William IV and Queen Victoria. They acquired the cartographic stock of fellow Scots firm W.H. Lizars in 1859. Size: 530 x 685 mm. Steel engraving with original outline colour. Good condition. slight offsetting.
