Six spectacular celestial maps, with the constellations beautifully depicted, from Doppelmayr and Homann's famous Atlas Coelestis. Together, the set forms a comprehensive map of the heavens as viewed from different points on the earth's surface. The paths of the major comets, as observed by Halley, Kepler, Tycho Brahe and others, are shown. Each map is flanked by listings of the constellations. Set of six charts, offered only as a set. Size: 580 x 490 mm each. All parts are in fine condition.
