The original illustration by Brock for Dickens's story The Holly Tree, signed by the artist, depicting young Norah and Master Harry at a high pitch of romance. Charles Brock and his brother Henry used to collect period furniture and clothing so that their friends and relations could model for the artists in their Cambridge studio. Original pen and ink illustration on card (224 x 284 mm), mounted. Very faint marks to edges. In excellent condition.
