The original illustration, signed by the artist, for one of the scenes in Mary Russell Mitford's "Our Village", which comprised a series of sketches of country life. Brock's illustrations form part of the "Series of English Idylls" published by J. M. Dent & Co. The scene depicted shows the village nursery school. Original pen-and-ink watercolour oval illustration (338 x 241 mm), in a wash-line mount. Very slight marks to left margin. In excellent condition.
