This wonderful old map of Surrey comes from the third edition of Camden's Britannia. Part of the charm of this map are the (mis)spellings of the villages and county towns, which are depicted in red. All the numerous stately homes of the aristocracy, and their surrounding lands are highlighted. All decoration is mannerist in style, and there is an extensive explanation table to be found in the upper right corner.
